Farnham Rugby Club Falcons women’s first team got 2024 off to the perfect start with a 17-14 victory at Heathfield & Waldron Ladies in Women’s NC One South East (South).

It proved to be a challenging and competitive match played in tricky conditions.

Team spirit helped secure the win for the first team in cold conditions on a boggy pitch.

Farnham came together to overcome adversity against a well-seasoned opposition.

The team pushed on despite picking up a couple of injuries – with players having to switch to different positions to those they usually play – but the determination of the squad proved to be key.

The win leaves Farnham in sixth place in the league table.
