Haslemere Town Council’s car boot sale finally took place after a wet summer kept everyone on edge. More than 50 cars turned up at Lion Green on September 1, each packed with an eclectic range of wares for sale.

Buyers flocked to the green to snag some bargains, chat with the stallholders, or simply soak up the atmosphere.
The Mayor of Haslemere, Cllr Oliver Leach, said: “It's great to see so many people milling about on a Sunday morning at Lion Green. Whether you're buying or selling, everyone here is smiling, and there is a real sense of community spirit.
“We have raised more than £250 for the Mayor's Charities, which are the amazing KSS Air Ambulance Services and St Bartholomew's Link Project. A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and, of course, to the sellers and buyers for making it so successful.”
