Passfield Social Club, near Liphook, has taken its offerings to the next level with a brand-new kitchen, partly funded by East Hampshire District Council’s Rural Grant scheme. The club received £36,000 from the fund, contributing to the £48,000 project that transformed an old storage room into a fully-fitted kitchen.
Now, for the first time, the club is serving meals and snacks, with the new facility enabling them to host catered events such as meetings, weddings, and parties. Additionally, they’re offering evening meals and brunches, all prepared by Donna Haig from the local catering company Donna’s Catering.
Julian Small, Vice-President of Passfield Social Club, said: “The new kitchen has been an amazing success. It means we can host more local groups and it has helped us grow our membership by more than 30 per cent since it was installed.
“There was obviously a big demand for food at the club and it’s been great to see families coming here to eat together and enjoy the club.”
