Alton Rugby Club are gearing up for their biggest match of the season on Saturday, when they will take on Winchester’s third team in a winner-takes-all league title decider.

After a season of resilience, hard work and determination, the team are ready to make history.

Under the leadership of new head coach Gareth O'Brien, Alton Rugby Club have undergone a big transformation, building a formidable squad and returning to winning ways.

“The team have worked relentlessly to reach this point, and now it comes down to one final performance,” said O’Brien.

“We’re prepared, we’re focused, and we’re ready to meet the challenge head-on.

“At home, in front of our supporters, we have the opportunity to show exactly why we deserve this title.”

The team have dominated the league this season, spending most of it at the top of the table, with Winchester being their toughest competition. Now, it all comes down to Saturday’s final showdown.

The match kicks off at 3pm at Anstey Park on Saturday, and the club are calling on the Alton community to come out in full force to support the team.
