Haslemere’s women’s first team drew 2-2 at home to Leighton Buzzard in South Central Women’s Premier Division Two on Saturday.
Leighton Buzzard won the first penalty corner and Jo Burder made an excellent save to keep the ball out of the goal.
Haslemere won a short corner shortly afterwards, which Choi Jackson converted to put the home side 1-0 up.
Home skipper Alice Toynton nearly made it 2-0 with a reverse lifted shot having worked her way around five defenders in a crowded D.
Leighton Buzzard then launched several attacks of their own, but Haslemere stayed composed and led 1-0 at half-time.
The home side doubled their advantage four minutes into the second half.
Haslemere attacked down the right-hand side and Cindi Pretorius collected the ball in the D and scored a skilful reverse stick goal.
Leighton Buzzard converted a short corner with ten minutes to go to make it 2-1 and set up a nervy finale.
The visitors were awarded another short corner shortly afterwards, which they converted to make it 2-2.
Haslemere’s women picked up an impressive 3-2 win away at Basingstoke’s second team, despite missing several players through injuries and illness.
With only 12 players available, the team battled hard to come out on top.
Haslemere took the lead through a superb strike by Cindi Pretorius which glanced off the inside of the post and found the bottom left-hand corner of the goal.
The visitors doubled their advantage when Alice Toynton drew the Basingstoke keeper out and passed the ball across the D for Pretorius to slap in her second.
Basingstoke pulled a goal back from a penalty corner to make it 2-1.
The visitors then went 3-1 up when Choi Jackson scored from a penalty corner.
Basingstoke then scored their second goal, but Haslemere held on for the win.
Haslemere enter the Christmas break in fourth place in the league.
