PETERSFIELD Golf Club Ladies’ Open attracted 88 players from several clubs in the region.

The winners were a team from Rowlands Castle comprising Christine Richardson, Carol Taylor and Sue Slight, plus Petersfield member Mary Ellam who showed them the way around the course and to a score of 85 points.

Also on 85 points, but losing out on count-back, were the Hayling Golf Club team of Monica Dixon, Frances Jones, Angela Williams and Petersfield’s Di Brooks. Another Rowlands Castle team – Jan Ostrum, Louise Fitzroy-Stone, Rosemary Brown and Petersfield’s Pene Salter – were third with 82 points.
