Petersfield Golf Club’s ladies gathered for their annual Christmas lunch and prize-giving event.
More than 30 trophies were awarded to the winners of various competitions held throughout the year.
The Player of the Year trophy was presented to Lyn Criddle, highlighting a remarkable achievement in her 30 years of membership.
This was Lyn’s first time receiving the award.
She said: “I am so proud to have won the Player of the Year, but very surprised too.”
Lyn’s season was marked by a series of impressive accomplishments, including her first hole-in-one in May, which helped her secure the Summer Eclectic Trophy.
Lyn had already claimed the Winter Eclectic 2023-24 title.
Lyn’s golfing journey began at Southsea Pitch and Putt before she and her husband Phil decided to join Petersfield Golf Club.
Over the years, Lyn has become an integral part of the club, serving as ladies' captain in 2019.
She also won the Ladies' Championship Salver in 2015 in a thrilling finish on the 18th hole.
Ladies’ captain Heidi Oliver, who presented the prizes, said: “Lyn has had a tremendous season in every way, and she is a great example of a player who never gives up whether in competition, matches or in her own game development.
“We are all very pleased for her.
“Many congratulations also to the winners and to those in our section who compete in all weathers.
“Without them, there would be no competitions.”
Oliver made a special presentation to Clanfield resident Gill Major – one of the club’s longest-serving lady members – who will be retiring her clubs after 34 years.
Oliver added: “As the year draws to a close, our Christmas lunch and prize-giving served as a perfect celebration of the hard work, camaraderie and achievements of the ladies at Petersfield Golf Club.
“Here's to another successful year of golf and friendship in 2025.”
