Fudokan Karate UK Alton have achieved some impressive results at the England Shotokan Karate-Do Federation Karate Gold Cup event in London.

The Alton-based club won two medals at the recent competition in London.

Fourth Dan karate instructor Csaba Bacsak finished in first place to win a gold medal at the event.

Cobus finished in third place to win a bronze medal, Milo finished in fourth place, Summer finished in fifth place and Ellis finished in fifth place.

Csaba said: “I am proud of the team, because this was the first competition for many of them.

“With their humble and respectful behaviour, they set an example for everyone of the way of true warriors.”

Csaba formed Fudokan Karate UK Alton in November 2022 and is hoping the club will continue to grow.

Csaba added: “Whether you seek martial arts for self-protection, fitness, competition, weight loss or sheer enjoyment, our classes in Alton can cater to your unique aspirations.

“Sessions tailored for beginners promise an enjoyable and empowering experience, irrespective of your age, shape or fitness level.

“You don't need to be in shape to start.”

Training sessions for children and adults are held at Amery Hill School’s dance studio in Alton.
