Aldershot Town Football Club have renamed the West End of the EBB Stadium.
Previously known as the Community Stand, the West End will now be known as the Mike Pusey Community Stand.
The Shots have immortalised the memory of a man who gave so much to Aldershot FC and Aldershot Town FC with more than 50 years of voluntary service, primarily as club chaplain.
Mike, who passed away in August, originally became chaplain of Aldershot FC in the early 1970s after a meeting with then manager Tommy McAnearney.
The Mike Pusey Community Stand was officially opened by Mike's friends and family, his favourite Shots player, Steve Melledew, and club staff.
Memories of Mike will stay around the EBB Stadium forever among the many people that had the pleasure and privilege of his company over the years.
The Shots hope the Mike Pusey Community Stand will ensure a legacy of his kindness, grace and unwavering love of the club continues in new generations of red and blue.
Metaphorically, Mike had been a part of the furniture at the EBB Stadium for six decades, so the Shots decided to honour his service to the football club and the wider community.
Renaming the Community Stand – a stand which is primarily used by the Shots Foundation to house schools, charities and community groups – was a fitting tribute.
Reade Signs ensured signage for the Mike Pusey Community Stand is in place. Volunteers gave the stand a clean up ahead of its unveiling.
