Badshot Lea, Farnham Town, Alton and Petersfield Town will get their FA Cup campaigns underway on Saturday in the extra preliminary round.

The Baggies have been handed a home tie against Stansfeld.

Badshot Lea manager Gavin Smith is looking forward to Saturday’s encounter at Westfield Lane (3pm).

“It’s great that we’ve got a home draw,” said Smith.

“Last year we were drawn away at Saltdean United and didn’t play that well, but we scored a couple of great goals and ended up winning 4-2.

“We’ll be looking to beat Stansfeld on Saturday, but we will also be looking for a good performance.

“The FA Cup is a great competition which always creates a buzz.”

Farnham Town will be on the road on Saturday after being drawn away to Tunbridge Wells in the extra preliminary round.

Saturday’s tie will take place at Culverden Stadium (3pm).

Town will be hoping to repeat last season’s exploits in the FA Cup, when they lost 2-1 against Chesham United in the second qualifying round after a club record-equalling run.

Alton have been handed a home draw, and will face familiar opponents when they host fellow Combined Counties Premier Division South outfit Fleet Town at Anstey Park Enclosure on Saturday (3pm).

“Our mindset is fully on Fleet and how we're going to play against them,” said Brewers manager Kevin Adair.

“You want to start with a home game, so it’s pleasing we have a home tie.”

Petersfield Town, who were moved from the Wessex League Premier Division to the Southern Combination Premier Division this summer, will travel to Wessex League Premier Division outfit Baffins Milton Rovers in the extra preliminary round on Saturday (3pm).

The Rams won 3-1 at home to Baffins in the league last season, but lost the reverse fixture 2-1.

Petersfield co-manager Connor Hoare is looking forward to Saturday’s tie, and has special memories from his side’s run in the FA Cup last season.

“The FA Cup is a fantastic competition,” said Hoare.

“Last season we beat Lymington Town 6-0 and then beat Bemerton before losing 4-0 at Step 3 Hungerford Town.

“Even in that Hungerford game we had moments at 0-0 where we could have scored.

“We’re expecting a big crowd at Baffins on Saturday and it is up to our players to cope with that.”

Petersfield won 3-0 at Crowborough Athletic in their opening Southern Combination Premier Division match on Saturday thanks to goals from Callum Kimber (2) and Liam Kimber.
