THE skies around Petersfield will be lit up this weekend as organisers are preparing to light the fuse on this year’s fireworks displays.
The 32nd Petersfield Round Table Fireworks Display will take place this Saturday at Bell Hill recreation ground.
Gates will open at 5.30pm with tickets available at www.petersfieldfireworks.co.uk
Also taking place this Saturday is the Friends of Sheet School bonfire night and fireworks display on the Millennium Field.
Noise levels at the display will be lower than Petersfield’s with the event taking place from 4pm to 7pm.

You definitely get plenty of bang for your buck in Steep as the village’s bonfire committee have billed this year’s show as “the biggest party”.
Gates to the event on Steep Common open at 5.30pm with the bonfire and fireworks being lit at 6.45pm and 7.15pm, respectively.
Burgers, hot dogs, snacks, mulled wine and drinks will be available with motorists advised to park at Bedales.
Funds from this year’s show will be shared between The Rosemary Foundation, Naomi House Hospice and Friends of Steep School.
