NOBODY should have Christmas Lunch alone.
Especially not in Whitehill or Bordon, as dinner with all the trimmings is being offered to the less fortunate by one of the town’s most caring souls.
Peter Benson has organised Christmas Lunches in Whitehill village hall for those who will be alone on December 25 for several years.
It’s something of annual tradition with dozens of less fortunate residents being treated in past years.
Preparations are well underway for this year’s event with a three-course meal, entertainment, raffle and a quiz being served up from midday.
All the food, including the turkeys, is donated while free drinks and transport are also available. Some 50 spaces are available – 42 people took part last year – while there’s no charge for diners.
