The art of an East Hampshire community will be showcased in Rowlands Castle as two village groups are joining forces this weekend.
The Rowlands Castle Painting Society and the village’s WI group have come together to hold a grand winter fair with an art exhibition and sale at the parish hall. There will be chances to buy original artwork in the large hall, with framed and unframed pictures and cards in different media and styles on sale.
The fair in the small hall will showcase the talent of the Rowlands Castle WI and is the perfect opportunity to buy high-quality produce and home-made gifts.
Enjoy tea or coffee and home-made cake at the group’s café, with proceeds going to Motiv8.org.uk, a charity which provides activities and support to young people. The free event will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The society welcomes beginners and experienced artists. It began its winter programme with Sue Cooper (pictured) showing off charcoal techniques.
