ON a wet and windy December 7, St. Christopher’s Church in Haslemere transformed into a festive haven for The Hunter Centre’s annual Christmas Celebration.
Undeterred by the weather, the church was filled with supporters, ready to enjoy a festive programme of music, poems and carols. The Winterbourne Singers treated attendees with Christmas-themed tunes, complemented by Millie MacDonald’s solos and Annabelle Doolan’s harp performances.
Ambassadors Margaret Barlow and Malcolm Carter, along with Trustee Mark Hurst, gave poignant readings. Chair Anne Downing thanked contributors and the importance of the community’s support.
The evening ended with blessings from Rev Chris Bessant, followed by the obligatory mince pies and mulled wine – a Christmas celebration wouldn’t be complete without them.
