A MAN has been bailed following an assault in Bordon town centre that left a teenager with serious head injuries.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured skull following a melee near The Shed last Friday evening.
According to Hampshire police the incident took place around 8pm when an e-scooter driver got involved an “altercation” with a group of people. The victim was knocked to the ground with at least two people coming to his aid.
CCTV footage from the area is being checked but a 44-year-old man was arrested within 24 hours of the incident on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The suspect was bailed until December 16 with police keen to hear from witnesses in the meantime.
