RESIDENTS and staff at a village nursing home were hungry to help the less fortunate on a day of giving.

A group from Steep House Nursing Home have swelled a food donation box at Tesco as they know every little helps.

They made the donations last Tuesday at The Causeway branch to mark the International Day of Charity.

The retailer works alongside FareShare and The Trussell Trust to distribute long-life food to needy people across the UK. 

As pictured here, Steep House residents Tony and Brenda helped with the delivery, with a “bit of shopping for afternoon teatime treats” following the drop-off. 

Residents and staff have been thanked for donating to the worthy cause.
