The 30th Liphook Bike Ride on Sunday was a real success, with good numbers and perfect weather for the first ride since 2019.
Nigel Wright – associate head at Bohunt School – was first to finish, with Tash Wishall the first woman home.
The Chairman’s Award for the best dressed riders went to three staff from Woodlea Primary School in Whitehill – head Jo Mumford, Emma Duffield and Lewis Webb – who rode as superheroes.
Emma said: “All the team at Woodlea are superheroes in everything we do for our children, which is why we wore the fabulous superhero capes and masks on our bike ride.
“Headteacher Jo Mumford would like to personally thank everybody who has supported the cycling team.”
They completed the 25-mile ride in two hours and 15 minutes and evenly split the money they raised between buying things for the school to support the mental health of pupils and making a donation to children’s mental health charity YoungMinds.

Liphook Bike Ride chairman Alistair Halliday said: “It gave us all a huge thrill to be putting on the Liphook Bike Ride once again after a break of three years.
“It was wonderful to see so many riders of all ages taking part and really enjoying cycling around our beautiful countryside.”
