Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have 11 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A3, from 8pm March 22 to 6am March 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Griggs Green to Longmoor, slip road and lane closures for drainage work.

• A3, from 9pm October 23 2023 to 6am March 28 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for electrical work.

• A3, from 8pm March 18 to 6am March 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 both directions Longmoor to Hazel Grove, carriageway closures for tunnel maintenance.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A3, from 8pm March 25 to 6am March 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Milford, slip road and lane closures for sweeping of carriageway.

• A3, from 8pm March 26 to 6am March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3M southbound, junction 1, slip road and lane closures for signage work.

• A3, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Ham Barn, Lane closures for technology work.

• A3, from 8pm April 2 to 6am April 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands to Weston, Lane closures for horticulture work.

• A3, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Griggs Green to Longmoor, Lane closures for drainage work.

• A3, from 8pm April 5 to 6am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Griggs Green to Hambarn, Lane closures for drainage work.

• A3, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Petersfield, exit slip road and lane closure for Scottish and Southern electricity works, diversion via National Highways network.

• A3, from 8pm April 8 to 6am April 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 both directions Compton to Thursley, Lane closures for barrier work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
