Do you have the courage and compassion to save lives and inspire others? Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit wholetime firefighters to help keep communities safe.
The service is looking for people who can combine a passion to protect and help communities, with the drive to learn and use lifesaving skills.
One day you’ll be responding to 999 calls and the next you’ll be helping people to understand how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
Applicants don’t need any prior firefighting experience to join as full training is provided. Having a workforce of different backgrounds, experiences, life skills and approaches helps to deliver a better service and make the community even safer.
Ben Allen, area manager people and operation development, said: “Firefighting is more than just a career—it’s about teamwork, problem-solving, and protecting what matters most. Whether you’re responding to emergencies, educating the public, or supporting your team, every day is meaningful and rewarding.
“Are you ready to face challenges head-on and make a real difference in your community? Do you have the courage, compassion, and determination to save lives and inspire others?
“We’re looking for people who are ready to bring their strength, resilience, and leadership to the role. If you thrive under pressure and want a career that’s as rewarding as it is exciting, we want to hear from you!”
