Farnham’s annual Walking Festival is set to return from May 13 to June 4. The free event features around 30 walks which aim to celebrate Farnham’s great outdoors.
The festival has been organised by Farnham Town Council and is sponsored by Kidd Rapinet. It includes walks ranging from gentle strolls to a 12-mile hike across part of the North Downs Way.
The programme also includes a dementia-friendly walk, a ‘stroll and sign’ walk, an immersive walk in nature and a walking tour of Farnham’s ten parks and open spaces.
Iain Lynch, town clerk at Farnham Town Council, said: “There really is something for everybody at this year’s Walking Festival. Each walk is led by an experienced guide who will share their knowledge about the area and their passion for walking.
“The Walking Festival is a wonderful way to explore and find out more about Farnham and the surrounding area. I am sure that the walks will help you see new areas, meet new people and learn lots about what is on our doorstep.”
