Chancellor Jeremy Hunt swapped his budget briefcase for a bin bag in Farnham on Saturday – on the first of his winter series of litter picks.
Chris Molloy from Badshot Lea-based papersacks.co.uk donated a number of sacks for Mr Hunt and his Conservative Association team to use, and they were joined by several members of the public.
The sun shone as they collected litter in Gostrey Meadow, Borelli Walk, Union Road, the station area and up near Waitrose.
The South West Surrey MP said: “A great turn out – special thanks to Greg Stafford, Chris Molloy, Farnham Rotary members, Farnham Town Council (for the loan of litter pickers) and all those local residents who came and joined in the session.”
