As the Haslemere Fringe Festival gears up for another electrifying year, the stage is set for a fierce showdown of words and wit, where poets will wield their pens like swords.

By popular demand, the poetry slam event is returning to centre stage. Geoff Allnutt and Steve Tasane are the 2024 Haslemere Fringe Festival poetry slam hosts. Both poets have won numerous poetry slams – including at Glastonbury Festival! – and have performed together across the country, running workshops and gigs for more than thirty years.

The pair have decided to shake things up and slam against each other, as well as co-host a slam between talented young poets from four local schools: Woolmer Hill, The Royal School, Bohunt, and Rodborough. The word warriors will take to the stage on Sunday, July 7, in the afternoon.
