The sites will be considered for potential inclusion in the forthcoming Local Plan Part 2 (LPP2).
The council is seeking to identify sites with the potential for residential development in Haslemere or Witley – including Milford – and is particularly interested in sites within their settlement boundaries, or any brownfield sites within the wider parishes of Haslemere or Witley.
It has also called for information on potential gypsy and traveller accommodation and travelling showpeople plots across the borough.
For a site’s potential to be considered for inclusion in LPP2, it must be submitted by the deadline of July 10. Submissions should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to Call for Sites 2020, Planning Policy, Planning Services, Waverley Borough Council, The Burys, Godalming, GU7 1HR.
Queries about making a submission can be made on 01483 523291. Submission forms are available via the council’s website at www.waverley.gov.uk/callforsites
Information submitted will be made publicly available by Waverley Borough Council and will be identifiable by name or organisation.
Councillor Andy MacLeod, Waverley’s portfolio holder for planning policy and services, said: “We already have a fairly good understanding about sites in the borough with the potential for development, so any previously submitted sites do not need to be re-submitted unless you have additional supporting evidence.
“We’re asking land owners or land managers to give us information on any other sites we don’t already know about.
“LPP2 will contain the fine detail of our Local Plan, including specific sites for housing, local landscape designations and the boundaries of our settlements.
“When submitting a site for consideration, we require a completed Call for Sites form and a location map that clearly sets out each site’s boundaries.
“It’s also advisable to include as much additional information about the site as possible.”
