A CHOIR has raised more than £1,000 for a Petersfield youth centre following a week of indoor and outdoor performances.
The Petersfield Community Choir brought some cheer to a wet farmer’s market when they sung a range of traditional and not-so-traditional carols.
They followed up the alfresco Sunday performance with a Sound of Winter concert in St Peter’s the following Wednesday.
They were joined for the packed concert by guest artist Shoshana Yugin Power, a local music student who performed two fantastic pieces on the flute: Bach Sonata for flute in G minor and the Chaminade Flute Concertino. Both were very well received by an appreciative audience.
The events in aid of the Kings Army Youth Project raised a total £1,037 with audiences being thanked for their support and generosity
