EVEN with the cost-of-living crisis, the parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Haslemere have given generously.

Over the past four years the outreach committee has raised a total of £28,000 for charitable causes locally, nationally and internationally, including financing the education of eight girls in Uganda. 

More than £10,000 has gone to Ukraine, with a further amount for local family support for Ukrainians living in the area.

In the immediate area of Haslemere the parish has contributed to the youth club and hub, youth counselling, the food bank, the Tantum Trust and the Hunter Centre.
