Multiple gold medal winner Sophie Christiansen was interviewed at the Alton Maltings Centre by Cardiac Rehab trustee Chris Roche.
Sophie, who has cerebral palsy, has competed in dressage at the Paralympics since Athens in 2004 and hopes to ride in Paris next year on new horse Gladstone.
She told her Cardiac Rehab audience that sport enhanced her ability to challenge the restraints of cerebral palsy.
She said: “Without sport I wouldn’t be as able and fit as I am today.
“Exercise is so important for everyone, but especially for those with disabilities and health conditions.”
