ALTON’S Curtis Museum will play host this Saturday (July 28) to the annual Dolls’ House Day.
Open from 10.30am to 4pm, this year’s exhibition will celebrate the Royal Wedding with its own miniature wedding trail.
It will also feature the North East Hants Miniatures Group which will be displaying a selection of projects and selling dolls house collectors’ items. In addition, a local resident will be using her skills to demonstrate how to make dolls house accessories.
Sandra Miller will be returning with her scale model of a prefabricated dwelling, made by her father, and based on a property in Aldershot where she and her family used to live.
A Curtis Museum spokesperson said: “This event will be attractive to all those interested in dolls houses and accessories.”
The museum shop stocks a selection of dolls house collectors’ accessories together with a range of Dateman miniature books and activity packs for children.
Thanks have been expressed to Sweet Chocolate in Westbrook Walk, Alton, for supporting this event.
