Rebecca Stephens MBE, the first woman to climb the seven summits, the highest in each continent, entranced youngsters with her stories when she visited Froxfield Primary School.
Rebecca told the pupils about climbing Mount Everest and shared pictures from her climbs.
She took along the clothing she has to wear on her climbs, as well as her ice-axe, rucksack, crampons and head torch.
“The children listened so well and asked some really good questions,” said Lucie Hickey of the school in High Cross, Froxfield.
“It was an amazing opportunity to hear from a real mountain explorer.”
