After almost 12 years as the executive headteacher of The Federation of Liphook Infant and C of E Junior Schools, Michele Frost is retiring at the end of this academic year.

Michele was the deputy head of Liphook Junior School before taking the headship at Bordon Junior School. She returned to the executive headship when the schools federated in 2012. She united the two schools and began the task of building the team spirit that everyone in the federation feels.

Her mantra of ‘whatever it takes’ is central to her leadership. The child is at the centre of everything that is done at the federation. She is a powerful advocate for every child and their family.

As a result of her drive and determination both schools were judged as outstanding in their most recent Ofsted inspections.

“Thank you for all of your hard work and determination to our school,” said Ben from Year 6. “We will miss you a lot and remember you forever.”

Alex Pocock, a member of staff, said: “She has been incredible, not just for the school but for our whole community. She is the glue that holds us all together.”

Michele wanted to thank everyone at the school, as well as all the children and parents, adding: “I have absolutely loved my career and feel so lucky and privileged to have worked with so many amazing children, families and inspirational staff and governors over the past 40 years.

"Children never stop surprising me and making me smile every day. The joy of seeing a child change over time is absolutely beautiful. Seeing the progress they make in their learning, developing strong learning behaviours and simply growing up is what I will truly miss."
