I think it is in order to congratulate East Hampshire District Council and Hampshire County Council for this year’s initiative in tree planting around our town.
Pullens Crescent is a particularly good example of sensitive planting, in an otherwise tree-poor area.
I would like to urge, for the next planting season, that long-term missing trees are re-planted in all the car parks where car fumes are particularly high. Recently planted trees at Stoneham business park’s entrance have sadly died.
It is costly to plant and not provide care (water) on an ongoing basis.
