With generous contributions from local schools, churches, and community groups, Alresford Rotary collected an impressive 451 shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in Eastern Europe. 

Supported by organisations such as Churches Together in Alresford, Old Alresford Mothers Union, and various Women’s Institutes, the boxes joined a total of 18,248 collected by the Rotary Wessex District. 

The gifts are destined for disadvantaged and displaced children in countries like Ukraine, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, and Romania. 

Alresford Rotary thanks all who contributed to making Christmas special for the children, for many of whom their shoebox will be the first gift they have ever received.
