A councillor who has dished out nearly £3,000 to projects and good causes around Headley doesn’t know if she can spend again.
Hampshire County Council gives £8,000 to each councillor to spend with their patch, with Debbie Curnow-Ford dishing out money to ten recipients around Headley, Grayshott and Liphook in 2024/25.
But she recently told Headley Parish Council that she can’t consider any new requests until September amid uncertainty about budgets and elections.
She said: “The delay to elections and the budget gap at HCC have complicated matters and no decisions have been made on grant pots for 2025-26.”
A wellness bench at Fullers Vale Wildlife Pond and a wolf carving at Headley Down Nature Reserve were among her recipients.
