New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of East Hampshire’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Manny's Coffee Lounge, at Energique Anstey Lane Alton Gu34 2nb was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 3.

And Costa Coffee, at Unit 4 Alton Retail Park Mill Lane Alton Gu34 2qs was also given a score of five on August 21.

It means that of East Hampshire's 157 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 131 (83%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
