A HASLEMERE resident recently got in contact with Haslemere Town Council to request that a handrail be installed on the  steps leading down from Sandrock to Lower Street.

The council stepped up and contacted Waverley Borough Council and the handrail has now been installed to the delight of Robert Serman who brought the safety issue to the council’s attention. 

The council said: “A big thank you to all involved in making this happen.”
