Excitement is in the air at Farnham Maltings as its second annual Christmas show is about to premiere.

The curtain will rise on Christmas in Exeter Street this Friday (November 13) with performances taking place daily until Christmas Eve except on the 17th and 18th.

The production based on the Diana Henry and John Lawrence’s 1988 picture book features 37 eccentric characters, seven animals and ten different instruments.

The show directed and adapted by Max Hutchinson and Cordelia O’Neill, respectively, features magic by John Bulleid who has performed in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

Maggie Mistletoe is expecting all the usual family members to visit her Exeter Street home but the doorbell won’t stop ringing on Christmas Eve with a series of unexpected guests arriving.

Director Max Hutchinson said: “We’re incredibly excited to have such a talented team joining us in Farnham this Christmas.

“I can’t wait to get in the room with everyone and put all the elements together.

“Audiences can expect catchy tunes, lots of physical comedy and plenty of magic – all wrapped up in a beautiful story that is full of heart!”
