Multi award-winning CCADS (Corpus Christi Amateur Dramatic Society) Theatre return to Petersfield Festival Hall with a stunning new production of smash-hit family musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

It follows their sold-out productions of Starlight Express in 2018 and Disney’s The Little Mermaid in 2022.

It comes to the Festival Hall in a spectacular new production using the full original 1991 Palladium orchestrations and featuring a large cast of many of the area’s finest talents bringing new life to one of the world’s most enduring musicals.

Elena Blackwell, recently seen on local stages as Maria in The Sound of Music, plays The Narrator, while Ross Cobbold, whose first professional job after drama school saw him starring alongside another notable Joseph, Darren Day, takes the title role.

CCADS artistic director John-Paul McCrohon plays the Elvis-like Pharoah.

The 28-strong top adult cast is joined by two teams of talented children, many of whom are fresh from CCADS Theatre’s hugely successful Kings Theatre production of Nativity! The Musical.

Musical director Louise Helyer, who recently completed a season as pianist for West End and TV star Lee Mead, winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s televised search for Joseph in 2007, conducts a lavish 15-piece orchestra in a production that also promises vivid costumes and spectacular sets in this must-see half-term musical treat for all the family.

The show runs from next Wednesday, May 31, to Sunday, June 4.

Shows start at 7.30pm and there will be Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available from Petersfield Festival Hall in Heath Road, from www.ccads-theatre.co.uk, by calling 07834 367659 or in person at Petersfield’s One Tree Books.
