This year’s Farnham Art Society annual exhibition will take place at Weydon School, Farnham at the end of the month.
The event is being held in the school’s Medici Theatre during half term, from May 28 to June 4, and is open daily from 10am to 5pm, apart from the final day when it closes at 2pm.
Previously held at The University of Creative Arts and Farnham House Hotel, the exhibition will showcase work by Farnham Art Society (FAS) members, including paintings with a diverse style and subject matter, as well as featuring ceramics and sculptures. All FAS work is for sale.
There is a separate exhibition of artwork by Weydon School students upstairs in The Medici Gallery.
A total of eight prizes will be awarded to members, including painting, drawing, portraits and water colour, ceramics and sculpture, together with the Farnham Art Society Young Person’s Prize for Artistic Merit for Weydon School students.
A private view and prize-giving will be held on Saturday, May 27 from 5pm to 7.30pm.
Admission to the exhibition is free and there will be tea and cake available, with donations going to The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.
Stewart Dakers, Farnham Art Society member, said: "Please come along and bring your friends and family, and enjoy refreshments while viewing the exhibition. Vote for your favourite work and maybe even buy something."
The exhibition has AA signage on north and southbound on the A31 in Farnham, at the Coxbridge roundabout, and in the vicinity of the school. Parking is available.
