St Ives School students are destined for great things, having won a record number of scholarships – 16 in total.
More than two-thirds of girls in year six gained a senior school scholarship of their choice in subjects ranging from academic to music, art, drama and sport.
A third are heading to Guildford High School, with other places at St Catherine’s Bramley, Tormead, Prior’s Field School, Frensham Heights, King Edwards, Churcher’s College, Farnborough Hill, St George’s Ascot and Sherbourne.
Headteacher Kay Goldsworthy said: “We are extremely proud of all our girls who have all done so well to gain places at their choices of senior school which is no mean feat in such a competitive environment.
“While we are undeniably proud to have achieved such a fantastic number and range of scholarships, the most important outcome is that every one of our girls will be going to the right senior school for her.
“We pride ourselves on knowing our pupils incredibly well and we spend a lot of time helping parents decide on the best school for each individual.
“To have achieved this with a record number of scholarships is simply the icing on the cake.”
