TWO thirds of students at The Royal School are set to attend a Russell Group university after top A-level results, with 83 per cent of students at the Haslemere school obtaining their first choice of university, in courses ranging from traditional degrees such as law and architecture, to specialist degrees like computer science.
School head Pippa Smithson said: “These students have excelled not only academically but also in developing skills every employer will look for in the future.
“They have shown initiative, flexibility and incredible tenacity in embracing remote learning. Pupils kept their cameras on and their engagement high throughout.
“We pride ourselves on the tight rapport between teacher and student; this was critical this year and played a major role in enabling such success.”
