Despite the occasional grey cloud blocking the sunshine, people came out for the Petersfield Spring Festival on the May bank holiday weekend.
The Saturday opening was dedicated to music featuring live performances from Parallel Lines with their 1970s pop rock and The Fabulous Fug Band as the headliner.
Sunday was off to a roarsome start with dinosaurs greeting families, a Salvation Army music and church service and food and drink stalls providing a welcoming breakfast.
Town mayor JC Crissey was out and about in his official chain and supporting the local community.
He said: “I'm helping with the Petersfield Traders Association. We are trying to encourage people to shop local by making it easy for them to know how to do that with a catalogue.
“We have the results of our fishing competition and that's something very special because that's raising money for the town mayor's charities.
“There is lots to do here in Petersfield and I want to support the festival.”
Dylan’s Ice Cream was out in its van to give festival goers a taste of what they will be able to sample now that the parlour has a place in town.
Firefighters from Petersfield Fire Station were on call with one of the trucks and some were decked out in their full gear with breathing masks to give eager children a full insight into the service.
A firefighter said: “We are here to raise a bit of charity money for the firefighters and engaging with the community around here which we try and do as much as possible.”
On Monday, little girls got to meet Disney princesses and dress up in their favourite princess costumes to take out the crown prize in the princess day fancy dress competition.
What a wonderful event to mark the end of spring!
