HANGOVERS were blown away when three groups of Morris dancers met in Alton’s Market Square at midday for a New Year’s Day show.

The Alton Morris Day of Dance featured the hosts, Mayflower Morris and the Minden Rose women’s group of ‘Morris widows’. Alton councillor Steve Hunt was among the dancers.

Alton Morris said: “It was a fantastic turnout and a little drizzle never bothers us. Thank you so much Mayflower Morris, Minden Rose and all the brilliant audience.”
