SURREY Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was left with a fractured leg in a hit-and-run accident.
The driver failed to stop following the incident, which happened on the B2131 in Shottermill, at around 5pm, last Saturday (November 4).
Pc Mark Russell, of Surrey roads policing unit, said: “This is a serious offence, with the cyclist sustaining a leg fracture. We have little information about the car involved so we need the public’s help to identify the vehicle and its driver. There is likely to be damage caused to the nearside of the vehicle, including the wing mirror.”
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or has seen a car with damage consistent with the above description, should call 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
