Coronation celebrations swept through Aster Daisy Nursery in Rake, with children and staff dressing in red, white and blue, enjoying a party afternoon tea and working together to produce squares of a tapestry to forever commemorate this special event.
The children investigated and discussed the royal family and King Charles, and what would happen at the coronation through photography, books and role play.
Using a variety of paints, crafts and even sewing skills, the children designed and decorated a unique tribute to all things royal and British.
The tapestries are on display and photographs were sent to the palace with the children’s best wishes – and even some thoughtful questions!
