The RSPCA is appealing for information after the burned body of a dog was discovered in a residential area of Farnham.
The horrifying discovery was made by members of the public just days after Christmas on Tuesday, December 27.
A shocked local resident found the body in a communal grassed area in the Barrie Road / Sandy Hill Road area of the town.
RSPCA inspector Ben Fitzcosta is appealing to people in the local area for more information about the dog.
He said: “This is a completely shocking discovery and I am keen to hear from anyone who has more information.
“It’s difficult to tell the breed or colour of the dog because his remains are severely burned, however, he looks to be a medium-sized, adult male who is not neutered, and possibly a greyhound or lurcher type dog.
“Anyone with information can contact me in complete confidence by calling 0300 123 8018."
