The Hunter Centre hosted its debut prostate testing clinic on Sunday, January 14.
With support from local clubs and people, Haslemere Town Council and the Penny Ha’penny Trust were the latest to financially assist prostate cancer testing.
The clinic is aimed at increasing awareness of the second biggest cancer killer of men in the UK and offering the opportunity to men over 40 to receive a simple PSA blood test.
Cancer Testing South, , a not-for-profit registered charity which is completely staffed by volunteers, hopes to test more than 3,000 men this year.
The clinic will be held on the second Sunday of every month, with the next clinic at the Hunter Centre on February 11 at 10.30am.
Appointments should be made online here.
